Talkers

What is a talker? For those of you that don't know what a talker is...
A talker is some kind of a chat program, like irc, but different. It is my impression that talkers usually attrackt a smaller group off ppl, but that they tend stick more to one place (or a few places) that they visit very often than ppl on irc. So I suppose it's easier to make friends. The nice part is that a talker grows and changes along with the ppl that frequent it. An irc chatbox is an irc chatbox, they are all the same. Talkers have a kind of commands (socials) that are made by ppl in that one talker, for that one talker. The down side of talkers is that they have some commands you must learn, but they are really easy so...
If you have visited my links page, you might have already seen that there are links to talkers there. These are those same talkers, but with a little more explanation on why i like them. From here, you can either go their website or connect to them using telnet

TW's Talker The first talker i ever visited was silvercircle, but this is the one where my life as a vampispod started. I have been going there since december and i still like it as much as when i first logged on. Go take a look there.
From this page you can either go to the talker's website, or connect through it using telnet.

Camelot Sometimes is was a bit quiet in TW's Talker, and then i'd go take a look at other talkers. And one fine day, i stumbled upon BN. A talker that had just opened it's doors to the public and that had no colours, no socials, no items, no nothing. You could talk there, and that was it. At first i thought it really boring, but my feelings changed quite soon. No socials has it's advantages: ppl have to think of their own stuff.
Unfortunately there were some problems with the code. So Silk and Satin (now Arthur and Guinevere) decided to make a new talker: Camelot. It has colors now, and some items, but although it is possible to make socials, it has been agreed upon not to do so. It is fun, being in a talker from the very beginning, watching it grow and change...
Again, you can either go to the website, or connect through telnet.

I suppose you want to go back to the site-map now.
